E-Med Rescue 24 Paramedical Services

E-Med Rescue 24 Paramedical Services

E-Med provides in country as well as cross boarder medical evacuation and paramedical support. Services are monitored through a state of the art 24 hour call centre managed by a team of highly qualified paramedics and intermediaries, whilst ambulance response centers are located across Namibia that can be activated in a moment's notice.

In addition to a ground fleet of emergency rescue ambulances, E-Med operates a fleet of three (3) dedicated aircrafts fully equipped to international standard for in country as well as cross boarder medical air evacuations.

Air Ambulance

E-Med operates three air ambulances stationed at Eros Airport, which are on 24 hour standby: Cessna 441, Beechcraft, King Air E90 and Cessna 402C.

The Cessna 441 and Beechcraft King Air E90 are fully pressurized, allowing the aircraft to fly at higher altitudes with minor turbulence, over long distances with more patient comfort. Their fuel range allows them to be deployed to all corners of Namibia, as well as throughout the SADC region. The two pressurized aircraft are ideally suited to transfer critical patients to South Africa when the necessary medical services are not available in Namibia.

The Cessna 402C is not pressurized, and has a shorter range. However, it is ideally suited to rough landing fields in remote areas, and is usually deployed for short distance air evacuations.

All aircrafts are equipped, at all times, with an advanced life support system.

Ambulance & Response Vehicles Road

E-Med's fleet of ambulances is fitted with advanced medical equipment. To ensure the best possible pre-hospital treatment to patients, response vehicles are equipped to provide rapid life support.

Each response vehicle and ambulance has access to the best medical equipment such as adult and pediatric ventilators, ECG monitors and infant incubators, ventilators and extrication devices.
